THE CATTLE IS SOURCED FROM COMMUNAL OR COMMERCIAL FARMERS.

ALL THE CATTLE ARE BORN IN THE FIELD, NATURALLY AND FREE

ALL CATTLE IN NAMIBIA ARE FITTED WITH A RADIO-FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION EAR TAGS (RFID), WHICH ASSITS TO TRACK THE CERTAIN ANIMAL FROM WHERE ITS BORN UP TO WHERE IT IS SLAUGHTERED.

THEY ARE RAISED FREELY IN BIG OPEN FREE-RANGE AREAS, WHERE THEY HAVE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT TO EAT, WHEN TO EAT, WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO.

THEIR WATER SOURCES ARE ALL NATURAL, FROM RAIN-WATER OR FROM UNDER GROUND WATER SOURCES.

ONLY THE GRAIN-FINISHED CATTLE ARE BROUGHT FROM THE FIELD TO FINISHING AREAS TO BE FED WITH A SPECIALY FORMULATED GRAIN-FEED FOR 130 DAYS TO GET THE PERFECT MEAT TO FAT RATIO, JUICY TENDER AND FULL OF FLAVOUR MEAT

GRASS-FINISHED BEEF ARE BROUGHT FROM THE FIELD STRAIGHT TO THE ABBATOIR FOR THE FREE-RANGE MEAT.

WE HAVE A LOCAL WORKFORCE OF AROUND 350 PEOPLE WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SLAUGHTERING, DEBONING, CUTTING AND PACKING OF THE MEAT.

THE MEAT HANG IN THE COOLER ROOMS AT THE PERFECT TEMPERATURE TO ENSURE THE CORRECT PH-LEVELS AND MATURATION BEFORE BEING PACKED.

A BAR CODED STICKER IS PLACED ON EVERY BOX AND CUT OF MEAT. THIS BAR CODE CAN BE SCANNED TO TRACE THE MEAT FROM ORIGIN. THE STICKER ALSO POVIDE THE DATE AND TIME THE MEAT IS PACKED, COUNTRY OF ORIGIN, BATCH NUMBER, PRODUCT NAME AND CODE, WEIGHT AND A USE BY DATE.

FROM BEEFCOR THE MEAT ARE TRANSPORTED WITH TRUCKS TO THE HARBOUR IN WALVISBAY.
